Our Policies

Code of Conduct

Girls Get Social would like to highlight our Code of Conduct. Please see below a list that outlines the behaviour we expect from the members of our community clearly:

General Behaviour

All girls within the Girls Get Social community must show kindness, and positivity with an advocacy for empowering positive female friendships. No bullying, hate speech or mean-spirited comments will be permitted.

Equality & Discrimination

Girls Get Social welcomes girls of all kinds of backgrounds. With this in mind, we ask that all members show respect towards all cultures & beliefs. We ask that you do not discriminate against a girl’s age, race, nationality disability, sexual orientation, gender expression, religion or family circumstance.

Prejudice is not acceptable & will certainly not be tolerated.

Confidentiality

Girls Get Social has chosen to keep all event & meetup locations private on our public platforms for our girls’ safety, only to be revealed within private group chats. If you are found to reveal any of our event locations on any platform outside the one where the location was announced (This does not include disclosing it to close friends and family for your safety), you will be removed from our community. If this occurs and you have purchased a ticket through us for one of our events, it will become void.

Breach of Code of Conduct Procedure

If there are reports of an individual breaching our code of conduct, this will result in removal from the Girls Get Social Community. If you would like to report a breach of conduct, please email girlsgetsocial@gmail.com or contact a member of the Girls Get Social team. Please see our “Conflict & Bullying” policy for further details.

Conflict and Bullying Policy

Girls Get Social (GGS) would like to outline our policies regarding conflict and bullying on our social events page. This includes comments and chats, and if brought to our attention, concerns outside of our group that involve our group members.

  1. Conflict is normal when meeting new people, we appreciate this fact. However, GGS will not tolerate conflict that results in members feeling unsafe or causing a disruption to the harmony that we wish to keep on our page. Admins will always be there to discuss matters privately and take action when needed.

  2. GGS have a zero tolerance bullying policy. If any form of bullying has been brought to our attention with proven evidence, the perpetrator(s) will be removed from the group. Again, if any one wishes to speak with Admins privately on this matter we will be available.

  3. Cooling off period. GGS will always choose the fairest option for managing conflicts on our page. Therefore, in cases where those involved in conflict can attempt to resolve the issue and actively seek out a positive outcome, we can offer a cooling off period whereby if they have been removed from the group, after some time we will consider their return to the page.
